Meet Kalia Silva:  Host, entertainment reporter, actress and a Do-It-Yourself maven. Her smile lights up a room. Her laughter transforms the atmosphere. Yes, this one is a “Jill” of many trades. Kalia Silva puts the FUN in funny…and before you know it, she’s charmingly motivated Hollywood’s A-listers, including Oprah to give us the latest dish.

As an actress, Kalia has appeared in films like “The Marriage Chronicles," television shows including Nickelodeon’s international hit "Victorious” and commercials for well-known brands such as Dunkin’ Donuts and Wal-Mart.

Kalia also dazzles the Red Carpet for industry events including the Emmy's, Grammy's, NAACP Image Awards, Golden Globes and more as a freelance entertainment reporter for BET Centric, General Motors and TheYBF.com.  Kalia has a knack for snagging memorable sound bites from some of Tinseltown’s biggest stars, including Kevin Hart, Skyler Samuels and Terrence Howard just to name a few.

The most notable moment in her career to date was interviewing Oprah Winfrey about her philanthropic works and the OWN Network.

In 2011, Kalia became the executive producer & host of the online TV/film review show The Review Effect, which garnered a huge buzz & fan base!  Today, one can view Kalia’s popular Blog online at www.MyEye4DIY.com where she demonstrates to audiences how their “champagne taste” can be executed on a “shoe string” budget to transform apartment spaces!

This Boston College grad and Rhode Island native has also exercised her love of entertainment, pop-culture and fashion as a talent booker and segment producer for the TV Guide Network.
